What Is A Chiropractic Adjustment?

When a joint is restricted, motion is limited and inflammation occurs. Muscles may go in spasm and become further aggravated with uneven soft tissue pull causing trigger points. In order to mobilize a restricted joint an adjustment can be administered by a Chiropractic Physician. The Chiropractic adjustment helps restore normal motion and function.

An adjustment can involve a gentle high-velocity low-amplitude manual thrust or can be done with a manual instrument to create proper joint motion. When needed, Acupuncture, Muscle rehabilitation, or Soft tissue and trigger point release can be incorporated with the adjustment to help restore peak physical function.

Dr. Sutphin uses several Chiropractic techniques to adjust the spine and pelvis including Diversified, Thompson, COX Flexion-Distraction, Activator, Logan Basic, and Applied Kinesiology.
